This session shares insights and postmortem thoughts on developing a top selling Playstation 3 PSN game “Super Stardust HD” and an XBLA golf game "Golf: Tee It Up!". You will find out if there were any differences between developing a game which has a hardcore arcade gaming heritage and a more casually oriented game. Audience will also find out, why Housemarque think it’s developing “core casual games” and why it’s relevant for casual gaming industry.

During the past 13 years, Housemarque has developed games ranging from snowboarding games (Xbox’s “Transworld Snowboarding”) to arcade shoot-em-ups (PSN's popular "Super Stardust HD" for Playstation 3) for wide variety of different platforms including PC's, consoles and mobile devices. Since 2006 the company has concentrated on developing downloadable console games. Housemarque is one of the very few game development companies, if not the only one, who has had a downloadable game published for three different console platforms (Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation Portable).
