John Barbour, president of RealNetworks Games Division, joined the company in 2008. Barbour comes to RealNetworks from Toys “R” Us’ where he was president of U.S. operations. During his tenure at Toys “R” Us, Barbour led the successful turnaround of the company’s U.S. and international divisions and established toysrus.com, growing the business into the #1 global online retailer of toys and games. He was also a key member of the executive team that sold the company to Bain Capital, KKR and Vornado. Before Toys “R” Us, Barbour was CEO of OddzOn, leading the company through its acquisition by Hasbro, and held a number of executive positions with Universal Matchbox Group Ltd. and various marketing roles with M&M Mars, General Mills and Procter & Gamble. Barbour holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow.
